This policy covers Extinguished — the dark-history video channels Extinguished Voices and Extinguished Places and their companion blog at blog.codewarrior.vip — operated by CodeWarrior, LLC. It is separate from the CodeWarrior consulting privacy policy.

What this blog collects

The blog is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers of its own. The interactive map loads tiles from CARTO/OpenStreetMap and embeds videos from YouTube; those providers may receive standard request data (such as your IP address) governed by their own policies when their content loads.

Social publishing (TikTok & YouTube)

Extinguished is a first-party operation: it publishes our own original videos to our own connected accounts via the TikTok Content Posting API and the YouTube Data API. In doing so:

What's used: OAuth access/refresh tokens for our own channel accounts, used solely to upload and manage our own videos (title, description, privacy status).
What's NOT collected: we do not request, store, or process the personal data, content, followers, or audience information of any other TikTok or YouTube user. The tools act only on our own accounts.
Storage: tokens are kept privately on our own systems, never shared or sold, and can be revoked anytime from the platform's connected-apps settings.
Compliance: usage follows the TikTok Developer Terms, the YouTube API Services Terms, and the Google Privacy Policy.

Imagery & AI

Historical images are used only when public domain or Creative Commons, with attribution. Some scenes are AI-generated recreations of historical events; these are disclosed on each post and labeled per platform requirements.
